Hey, Canberra! This is your monthly chance to level up every Saturday afternoon. Get ready to learn from some seriously talented professional and semi-pro artists visiting from interstate. Don’t miss out on this awesome opportunity to boost your skills!

What styles of dance?

Every month, we explore and master different concepts, including body movement, musicality, and social dancing. Each artist will share their individual style, unique concepts, and character. Monthly themes include styles such as; Salsa on2, Afro, Pachanga, Timba, Mambo, Bachata Sensual and Fusions. We rotate monthly between Bachata and Salsa. Providing both solo and partner work because we believe both are key to advancing your skills!

What's included?

Includes 2 hours of workshops for Intermediate/Advanced dancers.

Different interstate instructors every month.

Each artist will share their individual style, unique concepts, and character.

Flexible memberships

Academy monthly memberships will guarantee your spot each month and give you a 40% discount on the casual ticket price. If you are away, you can also pause and re-activate your membership anytime you need. If you're more interested in just one style of dance (eg. Salsa or Bachata only), no worries! You can choose to pay for every second month if that suits you better. The Academy runs on the same Saturday as the SOS social party, and all members receive half-price entry to SOS!

Our mission

The Movement Academy is a collaboration between MoveMe Studios and SOS (Salsa on Saturday). Our mission is to grow and inspire the Canberra Latin dance community by offering quality and diverse learning opportunities. We’re here to help Canberra level up their latin dancing. Let’s go!
