Samara and Darren introduce you to a taster on their favourite Afrocuban movements and how to incorporate this into your salsa shines. Get ready for body movement that will help you find completely new dimensions to your salsa.

Playful Partnerwork

Samara and Darren revisit your partnerwork foundations (basics, turns, collects) and give you new ways to add fun (and surprise!) to your dancing.

Meet SAMARA

Samara Quesada Salas

Samara is a professional Colombian dancer with 10+ years of experience in Salsa, with a background in teaching and performance. She is trained and experienced across Cuban salsa, LA style, Caleña, and Mambo, with a deep foundation in Afro-Antillean dances and the historical and cultural roots of salsa. She is deeply passionate about musicality, styling, expression, and dancing with intention.

Meet Darren

Darren Low

Darren is a Sydney-based dancer that has 7+ years of teaching and dancing experience ranging on1 salsa, on2 mambo, and bachata. He has performed as part of the winning DBS Pro Team in 2024 and was the winner of semi-pro solo male category at World Salsa Solo in 2024. He is passionate about breaking down dance concepts in a systematic way to help every dancer develop confidence in their own unique body movement and expression.
